Galapagos giant tortoise

This 11-night holiday includes 7 nights sailing through the 'enchanted isles' of the Galapagos. During the fabulous wildlife cruise spend some time at the Darwin Research Centre on Santa Cruz, explore Isla Isabela, Isla Espanola and Isla Floreana, witness the extraordinary array of endemic wildlife and take the opportunity to explore Ecuador's historic capital city.

The Wildlife

But it's the wildlife that will probably leave the most lasting impression: prehistoric-looking marine iguanas, the world's most northerly penguins, brightly-coloured crabs, inquisitive and playful sea lions, albatrosses with ritualised greeting ceremonies, scientifically-intriguing Darwin's finches, frigate birds which allow their portraits to be taken while they sit on their nests, geckos that make high-pitched squeaking noises, boobies with bright blue feet, giant tortoises famed for their extraordinary longevity... and much, much more.

The Cachalote I

Cachalote I is a charming 96 foot motor schooner, built in 2002 and offering First Class service. Passengers can relax on one of the three wooden decks while sailing or just anchored in a harbour. She is fully equipped with electronic safety equipment, tenders with outboard motors, life rafts, freezer and refrigerator, desalinator, TV and DVD player. Fully air-conditioned, there is a saloon, bar, large dining room, sun deck.
